A word from Rabbi Zalman Teichtel,
“Over the years, we have tried to transition the style of our Friday Night Dvar Torah, moving away from the sermon style, to more of a Story style. Giving over each week a “Story of the Week.” It’s usually a short 5 min story that always has before it a short vort/idea connected to the Parsha that is relevant for students” lives. We find that students pay much more attention when we get up to give a weekly message; they are expecting and waiting for this week’s story.”
