Chabad at Rice celebrates Festival of Lights

Chabad at Rice University welcomed members of the Rice community to a pre-celebration of Chanukah on Dec. 7. Students, faculty and staff packed into the Ray Courtyard to enjoy latkes, donuts and music and to hear from President Reginald DesRoches.

Although Chanukah did not start until Dec. 14, Rabbi Shmuli Slonim, who co-directs Chabad at Rice, emphasized the importance of togetherness and positivity leading up to the holiday.
