Registration for the Federally funded non-profit security grant is now open and will close January 21, 2025 / 21 Teves 5785.
Each Chabad House can apply for up to $200,000 in security improvements.
Steps to Apply for a Security Grant:
- Complete a vulnerability assessment with the assistance of law enforcement or a registered security advisor.
- Create an estimated budget for the security improvements you plan to implement.
- Use this form to upload the assessment, along with your Chabad House/Moisad information and security budget.
- Wait for feedback from Rabbi Backman or a member of his team to continue the process.
- Once approved for a grant, there is a $500 fee to work with Rabbi Backman, who will guide you through reporting improvements and ensuring grant compliance. A designated percentage of the grant will be allocated for managerial work.

In the coming days, we will be sending out a survey to assess the current security standing of each Chabad House. This survey is part of our ongoing efforts at Chabad on Campus International to ensure every Chabad House has the resources and support needed to enhance security.
